The waves get so high at night that they freeze to the pier. This is the 5th Street Pier in Manistee, Michigan.

Wow! I miss such scapes. Here on the west coast of Norway it has been mostly rain and sleet this winter. (Still a chance for real winter yet, I suppose. ) :)

:) I took this photo last winter, we haven't had much snow this year either. Though the last few days gave us our couple of inches. I keep thinking it'll come right when spring should be starting! :no:

:) Ah! We had real winter last year too. Perhaps the last real one, I fear. It seems as all the seasons will eventually glide together into one, grey haze. The summers haven't been quite true summers either, the recent years. :tears:

Yeah =/ Gray haze doesn't sound appealing but I believe you're correct. The other day (last Wednesday I think) it got up to 51! It was nice to feel the sun, but extremely odd for January.

Now thats flipping cold burrrrr I lived in Alaska and I don't think it was that cold. Great photo! Thanks for sharing.
